Cabinet & Drawer Locks · Guide

How to babyproof a kitchen

The kitchen holds chemicals, sharp tools, and heat. Locks help, but storing the worst hazards up high and supervising near the stove matter most.

Lock the danger cabinets

Latch under-sink, cleaning, and sharp-tool cabinets. Use a strap latch for the oven and fridge.

Store hazards high

Keep chemicals, medicines, and knives up high — above any locked low cabinet — as a second layer.

Manage the stove

Turn pot handles inward, use back burners, and never leave a child unattended near a hot stove.
