Furniture Anchors · Guide

How to prevent furniture tip-over

Furniture and TV tip-overs are a serious, well-documented hazard for young children — and highly preventable with proper anchoring.

Anchor into studs

Secure dressers, bookcases, and shelving to wall studs with anti-tip straps. Drywall alone can pull out under a climbing child.

Secure the TV

Anchor the TV and its stand. Flat-screens tip easily when pushed or pulled.

Remove the temptation

Keep toys, remotes, and treats off high surfaces so children aren't tempted to climb.

Frequently asked questions

Is anchoring into drywall enough?
No. Anchor into a wall stud whenever possible. Drywall anchors alone can fail under the force of a child climbing or pulling on furniture.
